Anshuman Jha Shares An Update On His Directorial Debut Lord Curzon Ki Haveli-EXCLUSIVE
Anshuman Jha entered the showbiz as an actor in 2010 with Dibakar Banerjee’s Love Sex Aur Dhokha. Since then, the actor has chosen different and unique projects and showed his acting skills at its finest. In 2017, he turned producer with Mona Darling and his latest production, Hum Bhi Akele Tum Bhi Akele, where he also features as the leading actor opposite Zareen Khan, is up for release this Sunday on Disney+ Hotstar.

After trying his hand at acting and production, in 2019, Anshuman announced his debut directorial as well, titled Lord Curzon Ki Haveli. The film follows the story of two couples and a pizza delivery boy and was supposed to be shot in the United Kingdom last year but had to be deferred, and Anshuman gives an update on its progress. “We were going to shoot in London in March and April last year, but the pandemic struck. All our bookings, visas and other formalities were done and we were ready to shoot, but everyone knows how bad the situation got there as well as here,” he shares.

Anshuman insists that the location cannot be moved for the shoot. “I can’t shoot that film anywhere other than the UK. That film needs to be made and it will be made in the UK, that too with the same cast that I want, Rasika Duggal, Arjun Mathur and Parambrata Chatterjee. The plan for now is to shoot it in August-September this year, but everything is all dependent on the situation as and when it improves. Sab bhagwan bharose hai,” he says hopefully.

As for his other projects in the pipeline, Anshuman informs, “I have Midnight Delhi, which is ready and is with the censors for the last six months now. I just completed a web show that will be released soon and as soon as the situation gets better, we will get on with the second season of Mastram.”
