Choudary, an ardent enthusiast of Hindi cinema, reminisced about predicting the rise of Rishi Kapoor's son as a major actor upon the release of his debut film, Saawariya. While critical of the excessive violence in the movie, which they believed was beyond the audience's expectations, they were captivated by director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's storytelling, which held their attention until the very end. Both Hassan and Usman were thoroughly impressed by Ranbir Kapoor's performance. Hassan suggested that Kapoor should demand a higher fee for his films and receive all the awards for his portrayal in the movie. They recommended the film to cinema lovers, emphasizing it as an experience worthy of attention.

Animal was heavily for its offensive nature and condemned director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for allegedly promoting misogyny and glorifying violence. Even Sudip Sharma, the writer-director of Paatal Lok and Kohrra, expressed his inability to relate to the film. The film has shut the critics in style as it has raked a whopping Rs 550 crore in India and minted Rs 895 crore worldwide. Makit it Ranbir's highest grossing film of all time.
