Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is currently on cloud nine as the netizens are hailing his upcoming movie Animal. The trailer of the Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rasmika Mandanna took the internet by storm, with the emotions and violent scenes it packed. The fans are eagerly waiting for the movie to be released. Amid it all, an old interview of the director has resurfaced where he spoke about showing the critics and the audience what a violent film looks like when they had criticised his Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh.

In an interview with Anupama Chopra, the director, who never shies away from expressing his opinions without mincing his words, had promised that he would truly make a violent film. For those who don’t remember, released in 2019, Kabir Singh was heavily criticised by netizens and critics. Be it the violence in the film or the toxic masculinity it ‘promoted,’ the movie has truly left the internet divided. In his interview, the director went on to promise that he will show people what a violent film is like with his next project as he is curious to see how the critics will react. A man of his words, the netizens hailed the 41-year-old filmmaker for fulfilling his promise with Animal. One wrote, “He’s made his intentions pretty clear. If it’s not for you, don’t watch it. It’s rated A after all! Please don’t take your children to this movie and whine about it being too violent or graphic or whatever, the ratings there for a reason and the director has conveyed a bit of what to expect in the trailer.” Another one commented., “Call him misogynist or unconventional or not normal or anything but, My man delivered with Animal.
