Anil Kapoor Recalls His Struggle With Achilles Tendon For The Last 10 Years; Says: 'Treatments Took Me From Limping To Walking To Running'
Fitness comes with a price. To sustain in the showbiz world, celebs go out and about to stay in shape. From following rigorous diets to performing hard core exercise, stars pull out all the stops when it comes to fitness. However, it is not necessary that there's a motivational story behind every actor's fitness but the story behind Anil Kapoor's fitness is definitely inspirational. Anil Kapoor who has delivered several hit films in his career spanning over four decades recently took to Instagram and shared a series of pictures, revealing how he struggled with Achilles tendon for the last 10 years and how he has overcome it. For the unversed, the Achilles tendon is a tough band of fibrous tissue that connects the calf muscles to the heel bone. He mentioned that he suffered this issue for a decade and visited several doctors around the world for the same.

But the doctors gave him the option of surgery only until he met Dr Muller who through a series of rejuvenating treatments helped him from limping to running and now skipping, that too without any surgery. Praising the doctor and his treatment, he shared a few snaps of himself skipping. One of the pictures also shows how the doctor was treating Anil Kapoor. He backed the post with, "I had been suffering from a Achilles’ tendon issue for over 10 years.... Doctors around the world had told me that surgery was my only option... Dr Muller, through a series of rejuvenating treatments took me from limping to walking to running to finally skipping...without any surgery..."

After this post, Farah Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Saiyyami Kher, Shilpa Shetty posted comments for his inspirational story. While fans were too happy that the actor has overcome it, there were some who said that he was lucky to have a doctor like Dr. Meller as one wrote, "Sir you are lucky that u met a good doctor who opted for rejuvenating treatment else most of the doctors these days are already ready with aprons to operate"

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor will next be seen in Karan Johar's multi-starrer Takht.
