Ananya Panday Recalls Being BODY SHAMED: People Said Get A ‘Boob Job, Fill Up A Little More; Put On Some Weight’
In a recent interview, Ananya Panday recalls being body shamed and revealed she was asked to go under the knife for bigger breasts
Bollywood actress Ananya Panday, who made her impressive acting debut in 2019 with Student of the Year 2, has indeed come a long way in her career. Chunky Panday's daughter has proved her mettle as a talented actress and is indeed now considered the most- sought-after star kid in the industry. However, Ananya had her fair share of struggles, be it dealing with body-shaming or facing rejections. In a recent interview, she recalled when she was asked to go under the knife for bigger breasts.
During her appearance on The Ranveer Show, Ananya opened up about getting body shamed and revealed how people use to judge her merely on the basis of her body. The Gehraiyaan reflected back and shared, “As soon as I started working, people started saying things like ‘you should fix this and fix that, like get a boob job or change something about your face. And, it is said very casually and not in direct words that you sometimes even don’t pick it up. They would say, ‘just fill up a little more. Put on some weight.”
“Is that what people care about? Is that what I am reduced to? Is there nothing about me paramount to my waist size or chest size? The worst thing you can do to someone is judge them for their body," she added. This is not the first time that Ananya had opened up about facing nasty comments about her body. In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, she revealed that she had been getting body-shamed much before entering the industry. At that time when she was not an actress and used to go out with her parents, people use to call her ‘thin’ and said she looks ‘like a boy and a flat screen’.
On the work front, Ananya was last seen in Shakun Batra’s complex relationship drama Gehraiyaan with Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Dhairya Karwa. She will next be seen in 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan' and 'Liger', alongside Vijay Deverakonda.
