Ananya Panday On So Positive Initiative, "There Are No Proper Laws In Our Country Regarding Social Media Bullying"
Ananya Panday has been receiving tremendous support from the industry for her digital social responsibility initiative ‘So Positive’, which aims at creating a safe platform against social media bullying that takes place every day making millions subject to it. A number of celebrities, her co-actors, psychologists, universities have come forward in support of the actress and her initiative and colleges have been inviting her to interact with the students who form a large part of the majority who face social media bullying and don’t know how to tackle it.

Ananya has time and again, asserted her belief in standing against faceless trolling, where haters can come and harass anyone without thinking of the impacts of such a move. She herself went through it, which drove the debutante to come up with a campaign that intends to provide a safe atmosphere for victims of online trolling to come and confide and get the support and strength which ‘So Positive’ provides.

Speaking about what was the catalyst behind her objective, Ananya shares, “The main purpose of this initiative was to build a community where we could just talk about it. I think when people go through Social Media Bullying they feel very alone and they feel don't have someone to talk to and they feel they are the only ones who are going through this."

Furthermore, identifying with this issue and having gone through it herself has made the star extremely empathetic towards everyone who has or is going through it. Coming out to support such people she says, “I just want to say that you are the only one who is going through it. Everyone goes through it. So many people around that are going through it. I think the thing with Social Media Bullying is that you are online so a lot of people see what's happening. No one says about it and there are no laws in our country and the way it's handled in our country, there is no proper way that you can report the crime or there isn't a certain person you can go to where you can get an answer. So Positive is currently on Social Media. But I just want to give a clear sense about it. I am the kind of person who keeps ignoring the hate and gives love back to people.”

So Positive is an original cause taken up by Ananya which is backed with substantial data, research, and behavioural statistics. The initiative aims at creating and spreading awareness about social media bullying. The initiative’s prime focus is to make people aware of the fact that this issue exists and stays very prevalent in society. Also, the steps that can be taken by the recipients of this destructive criticism in order to deal with this.

From being a filmmaker’s favourite to a sensation for the world, Ananya is the star who has emerged as the favourite for all. The actress will soon be seen in Pati Patni Aur Woh alongside Kartik Aryan.
