One such longstanding friendship is shared by filmmaker Farah Khan and actor Chunky Panday. The two are known for their camaraderie and often engage in lighthearted banter in public, much to the delight of their fans. A recent example of this playful dynamic was seen when Farah Khan visited the Panday family home to film a vlog for her YouTube channel, showcasing her close bond with the family.
During the vlog, Farah took it upon herself to teach Ananya Panday, who admits to not being much of a cook, how to prepare a simple dish—chicken fried rice. The entire cooking process turned into a comedic affair, as Ananya struggled with basic tasks like chopping vegetables and turning on the stove. Nevertheless, the young actress remained determined and eventually managed to whip up a tasty dish. The fun didn’t end there, as the rest of the Panday family, including Ananya’s father, Chunky Panday, mother Bhavana, and grandmother, joined them to taste the finished product. Much to everyone’s surprise, they were quite impressed with Ananya’s cooking skills.
True to his humorous nature, Chunky Panday couldn’t resist making a joke, suggesting that Ananya should cook daily. Ananya, ever witty, responded that she would only do so if she were paid for her efforts, jokingly asking for a salary. This playful exchange highlighted the affectionate bond shared between the father-daughter duo. While they may not have worked together on-screen in films, their close relationship has often been showcased in interviews and television appearances.
In fact, Chunky and Ananya had previously appeared together in the second season of the show Star vs Food, where they cooked alongside a professional chef. Chunky, in his usual humorous fashion, revealed that neither Ananya nor her mother, Bhavana, had ever cooked for him, though Ananya was great at "cooking up stories." He playfully remarked that the lack of cooking skills might be hereditary in the family, particularly from Bhavana’s side.
On the work front, Ananya Panday recently made her debut in the OTT space with the Amazon Prime Video series Call Me Bae, released in September 2024. Her fans can look forward to her upcoming projects CTRL and Shankara, where she continues to explore diverse roles and establish herself in the industry.
