The new season of the most famous game show in India, Kaun Banega Crorepati, hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan went on air in August. The show has very loyal fans who have been watching KBC for years now and the show is now on its eleventh season. Not only is Kaun Banega Crorepati a very informative show, Big B and the contestants too make it quite interesting. Amitabh Bachchan often shares several interesting thoughts, stories and experiences of his own, which the fans eagerly wait for. In the upcoming episode of KBC, Big B will be seen sharing a rather interesting detail about his life.

The upcoming Gandhi Jayanti special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 11 will see a contestant named Bindeshwar Pathak, who is a sociologist. In between quizzing the participant, our favorite host Amitabh Bachchan will be seen sharing an interesting story from his life. As per IANS, Amitabh Bachchan talked about his last name Bachchan and how it does not belong to any religion. His surname was Srivastava, however, Big B’s father Harivansh Rai Bachchan did not believe in the prevalent caste system in India and thus used the surname Bachchan instead. “My surname ‘Bachchan' does not belong to any religion as my father was against it. My surname was Srivastava but we never believed in it. I feel proud saying that I'm the first person to hold this family name,” Amitabh Bachchan said.

Further narrating his story, Amitabh Bachchan said that while he was being admitted in Kindergarten, his father was asked the surname and he decided Big B’s surname would be Bachchan. “When Census employees come to my place, they ask me about my religion and I always answer that I belong to no religion, I'm Indian,” he said.
