Oh No! Was our expression when Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan broke an unfortunate news. The megastar will be giving a miss to the prestigious National Award Ceremony to be held in the country’s capital tomorrow. The actor taking to his Twitter informed his followers of giving a miss to the ceremony due to his health issues. Big B is down with fever and hence won’t be able to commute to Delhi to attend the award ceremony, and this has left many upset.

His tweet reads, “Down with fever .. ! Not allowed to travel .. will not be able to attend National Award tomorrow in Delhi .. so unfortunate .. my regrets ..” Considered to be one of the highest civilian awards, this award gratifies the artiste’s contribution towards Indian cinema. This highest civilian award comprises of a golden lotus medallion, presented to the person along with shawl and cash prize worth Rs. 10,00,000. Awards will presented to the honourable winners by the vice-president Venkaiah Naidu in the presence of Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister for Information & Broadcasting.
