Amitabh Bachchan Celebrates His Love For Wife Jaya Bachchan With A Throwback To Their First Film Together, Bansi Birju
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are one of the biggest power couples to ever exist in Bollywood. Their relationship started as just a professional one, but slowly blossomed into a beautiful love story, eventually turning into a successful marriage. The duo got married in 1973 and make for the perfect couple in so many ways. They have never shied away from expressing their love for each other, be it anywhere.

Recently while going on a throwback spree, the Big B reminisced about his early days in the industry and his first project with his wife. He wrote, “…Our first film together .. ‘Bansi aur Birju’ ... released Sept 1, 1970 …that’s 49 years ago !!!”, along with a black-and-white still from the film where the two are embracing each other and looking as dreamy as ever.

Bansi Birju was a romantic film that featured the future couple for the first time together onscreen and was directed by Prakash Verma. It started a beautiful professional relationship between the two and the would-be-future couple went on to do multiple films together, including Zanjeer, Abhimaan, Silsila, Chupke Chupke, Sholay and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan are one of the most ideal couples in Bollywood that everyone looks up to. Their family life too has been an example for many - with their son Abhishek Bachchan taking their acting legacy ahead while daughter Shweta Nanda forging her own path.

On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan is currently hosting the ongoing season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, while he has multiple films in the pipeline. First up is Jhund, which is looking for a release date. After that he has Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, and only a few days of shoot is left for that. He is teaming up with Ajay Devgn for Mayday and has Vikas Bahl’s Goodbye with Rashmika Mandanna and Neena Gupta and Nag Ashwin’s next in the pipeline as well.

He is also reportedly a part of Sooraj Barjatya’s next directorial Oonchai and has to start work on the remake of The Intern with Deepika Padukone. On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan is all set to make her acting comeback after a long time with Karan Johar’s directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, which will also feature Ranveer Singh, Alia, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi.
