Bollywood's veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan who is hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 with his witty and welcoming nature has graced many iconic classics. At the age of 80, Big B is still doing movies, advertisements and is one of the highest-paid actors of the industry. During a recent episode of KBC season 15, he shared an interesting anecdote from his 1981 film, Lawaris. In a surprising turn of events, an audio question featured the iconic song "Mere Angne Mein" from the movie. Despite his initial embarrassment when the computer played the song, Amitabh bravely posed a question related to it to the contestant. The contestant correctly identified that the actor himself was the singer of the song. Amitabh then recounted how he unexpectedly ended up singing the song in the film, shedding light on this intriguing behind-the-scenes story.


The Bhootnath star revisits the making of this iconic Holi number and says, “The actor is the singer, and what a bad singer. My father used to play the drum and sing this song on Holi. This film (Laawaris) was made by director Prakash Mehra. He also made Zanjeer. He came up to me one day and said, hey, Amit, give me this song. I asked him what he meant by that. He then explained that he wanted to use the song in his film, and I said sure, why not! He then said, you will have to sing it. I told him, I can’t. In a previous episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, Amitabh opened up about his concerns regarding potential replacement in the entertainment industry. During a conversation with a contestant about the advancements in AI technology, he expressed his fear that in the not-so-distant future, he might be substituted by an AI hologram.
