Shilpa Shetty suffered a huge blow as her father, Surendra Shetty, passed away after a cardiac arrest last week (Shilpa Shetty’s Father Surendra Shetty Passes Away, Oct 11). Since then several close friends of the actress have been rallying around her to support her during the tough time.

Yesterday, Shilpa and family held a chautha for Surendra Shetty at Isckon Temple, Juhu and a host of celebrities such as Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan, their daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai, Preity Zinta, Neetu and Rishi Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Vivek Oberoi attended the event to pray for her father’s soul.
