Alia Bhatt's Old Video Where She Revealed Calling Up Kalank Director Abhishek Varman To Cast Her In The Film Goes Viral; Lady Gets Trolled Once Again
The debate surrounding nepotism has only gotten a lot more chaotic, especially after Sushant Singh Rajput's untimely demise. As per a huge section on netizens, it were certain bigwigs and star-kids of the film industry that isolated Sushant and snatched off his films, adding to his degrading mental health. Well, ever since then, a streak of Bollywood biggies have been at the receiving end of troll, hatred and criticism. The list also includes Alia Bhatt and this viral video of the actor revealing how she had called up Kalank filmmaker Abhishek Varman and producer Karan Johar to cast her in the film has only added to the mess.

The video begins with the journalist asking Alia if she ever had to convince a filmmaker to cast her in his/her film. To which, Alia says there haven't been a lot of instances but she had once dialed Abhishek Varman and Karan Johar saying that she would extremely upset if they don't cast her in Kalank. Further, Alia also admitted to the fact that Dear Zindagi was to star some other actress; however, she bagged it after KJo and SRK convinced its director Gauri Shinde. "For Kalank, I knew that I was always in Abhishek's mind but there were a lot of things that he needed to bring together before casting for the film," said Alia.

She added, "But I think for the first time, I made a call to a director. I called him up and I called Karan Johar up and said, 'Listen, I just want you to know that I'll be very upset if you don't take me in this film (Kalank). I really want to be a part of this film."

As for Dear Zindagi, Alia revealed, "I know that there was someone else on board for DZ earlier and then there was a conversation about maybe going to me and that's all I know."

Well, Alia getting it all easy hasn't gone down well with the netizens. A user wrote, "The producers are actually forcing directors to give her these roles. And this is just one star kid. And now imagine this is how all the star kid bunch get cast in movie after movie," while another added, "This is what real struggle looks like."
