As the script of Ali Abbas Zafar’s superhero universe is locked, the makers will first shoot the first installment of superhero universe trilogy film starring Katrina Kaif followed by Mr. India
After directing Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is all set to roll out his OTT superhero universe series. Ali will helm a trilogy based on the 1987 hit movie Mr. India starring Anil Kapoor and late Sridevi for the digital platform. It was just recently when Ali Zafar was in news for isolating himself to wrap-up the script of his superhero films. The filmmaker reportedly left Mumbai and moved in with his parents in March, in Dehradun, before the nationwide lockdown.
As the script is now locked, the makers are set to start the shoot the first installment of his superhero universe trilogy starring Katrina Kaif followed by Mr. India. Confirming if he’s creating his superhero universe, he told Mumbai Mirror, “Yes, I am creating a superhero universe, beginning with Katrina’s film. We then move to Mr. India, which will carry forward bits from Katrina’s film, and we are developing two more characters. My third superhero is rooted in Indian mythology and the fourth comes from the Indian army.”
Speaking about the plot of the film he had said, “My film is essentially about the common man fighting a mighty villain, but done in a cool, hip way, using science and technology and being relevant to today’s social scenario.”
Meanwhile, there are names of actors like Shah Rukh Khan and Ranveer Singh starring in Mr. India doing the rounds on social media. Ask the director if he has locked any actor for the role of Mr India, he rubbished the rumours and said he’s still working on the script and the casting will begin only after the scripting is done.
