Akshay Kumar's Mother Critical And Admitted To ICU; Actor Rushes Back To Mumbai From Shoot In UK: Report
Akshay Kumar flew back to Mumbai from UK in the wee hours of Monday morning to attend his ailing mother Aruna Bhatia, who has reportedly been admitted to ICU.
Akshay Kumar‘s mother Aruna Bhatia has been keeping unwell for the past few days and is reportedly in the ICU at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital. As per the latest report in Hindustan Times, Akshay flew back to Mumbai from the UK in the wee hours of Monday morning to attend his ailing mother. The actor had jetted off to the UK for the shoot of his film ‘Cinderella’. The report also stated that while Akshay has flown back to India to be with his mother, he has asked the producers to carry on shooting with scenes that do not require his presence.
The leading daily quoted a source to the development as saying, “The actor’s mom has been unwell for a few days and is in the ICU at Mumbai’s Hiranandani Hospital. Akshay is extremely attached to his mother and could not stay away from her while she’s not well, so he decided to fly back to India in a sudden decision.”
An insider added, “Even as he has flown back to be with mom, he has told his producers to carry on shooting with scenes that do not require his presence. All other work commitments of his also continue. He has always believed that work must go on, despite any personal challenges.”
At the airport, the 53-year-old actor was spotted in a black shirt and black track pants. He layered his look with a sleeveless black puffer jacket. Akshay was also masked keeping the COVID-19 precautions in mind.
