Akshay Kumar has cemented his position as one of the most bankable stars in Bollywood. Even at the age of 56, Akshay Kumar can give any 20-something a run for his money when it comes to fitness. He is undoubtedly one of the fittest stars in Bollywood. Now, Akki has recently joined a WhatsApp channel and shared a glimpse of his unique and intense workout routine.

Sharing the clip, he wrote, "Happy morning guys! I just finished my aqua workout. I love exercising in water for a full-body workout with no risk of adverse impact on the joints. And holding my breath underwater is a great workout for lungs too! Now all set to battle the day. Gimme a thumbs-up if you too worked out today. Cheers."


Interestingly, Khiladi Kumar is known to be a fitness enthusiast and he indulges himself in activities like yoga, swimming, kickboxing, and basketball as part of his workout regime. 

As per the reports, Akki starts his day with an hour of swimming, followed by martial arts practice, yoga, and some stretching exercises. Previously, the actor has made several controversial statements owing to protein powders, incorrectly conflating them with steroids and PEDs (Performance Enhancing Drugs). However, he has always intended to promote a toxin-free lifestyle to keep his body running smoothly despite turning 56. 


In order to achieve this, he avoids the following vices - alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine.

Akshay has never been selective about his eating habits. As long as the food is toxin-free, the actor and fitness enthusiast has no qualms about eating it. But, you might find it fascinating that Akshay Kumar is a total foodie as he eats everything from fats, carbohydrates, and proteins without prejudice. He also consumes fruits like bananas in situations where a proper meal isn’t available, and he makes sure to eat his dinner by 6:30 PM latest.

Well, now we know how he is able to maintain his body even at the age of 56!

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Akshay is gearing up for the release of Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue. The film also stars Parineeti Chopra, the film is all set to hit the theatres on October 6.

Apart from this, he has Welcome To The Jungle a.k.a Welcome 3, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Housefull 5 and Soorarai Pottru's Hindi remake in the pipeline.
