Akshay Kumar's Bell Bottom Being Converted Into 3D; The Film Will Mark Actor's First 3D Experience At The Box Office
After the news of Bell Bottom getting delayed again here comes one more piece of news. Akshay Kumar starrer will be releasing in 3D. Read details inside.
The way to beat the current crises of footfalls in the movie theatres is to provide the technology that the audiences cannot get in their home-viewing experience. This is the conclusion reached by the makers of the long-delayed Akshay Kumar espionage thriller Bell Bottom. The film directed by Ranjit Tiwari s now being converted into a 3D experience for the audience to ensure that the movie theatre venue remains the only outlet to enjoy the film to its fullest capacity.
Sources say the decision was taken by the producers of the film to maximize box office potential at a time when the very existence of movie theatres is threatened. Bell Bottom would be Akshay Kumar’s first 3D film besides 2: 0, the sequel to Robot which was a Tamil film dubbed into Hindi. I tried reaching out to the film’s director Ranjit Tiwari and producer Nikhil Advani for confirmation. But they chose not to reply.
Just a few days back news of the film getting postponed also came up. "The postponement (of Bell Bottom) seemed inevitable. There is no possibility of movie theatres re-opening in July and August. The producers have two options. They can wait indefinitely or opt for an exclusive OTT release,” a source close to the project informs, adding that the producers are now “seriously considering” the OTT option.
