Akshay Kumar-Rajinikanth’s 2.0 Will Now Clash With Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary Starring Sidharth Malhotra
After deciding to avoid clash with Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar, Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth’s 2.0 is set for a face-off with Kumar's good friend Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary on republic day 2018
Last evening, SpotboyE.com informed you how Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar is not going to hit theatres along with Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 as the makers of the latter have pulled themselves out of the clash. Rajinikanth starrer 2.0 will now hit theatres on Republic Day next year.
Our most ambitious project, Shankar's 2.0,shifts to 25Jan2018.It moves from earlier Diwali release to achieve world class standards in VFX.

However, what many people didn't notice is that with Rajinikanth moving the release date of 2.0 will only mean that the film, which also stars Akshay Kumar, will now clash at the box-office with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee-starrer Aiyaary on the Republic Day weekend.

Akshay and Sidharth have been great buddies ever since the two worked together in Brothers (2014).
Also, one should not forget that Aiyaary is a Neeraj Pandey directorial venture. Neeraj and Akshay have been great friends. They have worked together in films like Special 26 (2013), Baby (2015), Rustom (2016) and Naam Shabana (2017).
Interestingly, the two were said to collaborate for a film called Crack, which was supposed to hit theatres this August but later got postponed citing Akshay’s busy schedule. And that’s when Neeraj announced his another project Aiyaary with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee.

There have been rumours doing the rounds that Crack is a copy of a Michael Douglas film, Falling Down (1993). Grapevine suggests that after the news of Crack being a rip off of Falling Down came out, Akshay and Neeraj have been planning to rework on the script of Crack and hence the delay.
But with Akshay Kumar's 2.0 and Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaari going head on at the box-office, it leaves one to wonder how will the two friends react to the professional clash?
