Akshay Kumar On CAA Protest: ‘No Violence, Please!’
During a recent media interaction, Akshay Kumar spoke about CAA protest. The actor is completely against violence of any sort and urges people to not destroy anybody's personal property
So far, several Bollywood celebrities have come ahead and openly protested against CAA and NRC. While the common man has come out in open and supported the agitation by being a part of the protest, some are giving out their views on social media. Many celebrities like Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Anurag Kashyap and others have come out and expressed their concerns.
Now, during the promotional interview of Good Newwz, lead star Akshay Kumar also expressed his views as he said, “No violence please. I don't like it. Don't destroy anybody’s personal properties.”
Some time back, we also brought you Saif Ali Khan’s reaction wherein he played it safe by saying, “There are many things that give us a cause for concern, watching and wondering how where it will all end up.” The three BIG Khans- Salman, Shah Rukh and Aamir have stayed mum on this so far.
Apart from these, even Kangana Ranaut had voiced her opinion during the trailer launch of Panga. The actress had said, “What gives you the right to burn buses, trains and create ruckus in the country? A bus costs around Rs 70-80 lakh, and that is not a small amount. Have you seen the condition of people in our country? People in this country are dying of hunger and malnutrition. It is not very reasonable for people to indulge in violence. I also feel that in the name of democracy this is my very personal opinion. We're still hooked to the pre-Independence era, where our country was under seige or bondage, and people had captured us by force or the gun.”
On the other hand, Varun Dhawan refused to comment when asked about it at the trailer launch of Street Dancer 3D. He had said, “Once the situation is studied, will give out my viewpoint.”
