Akshay Kumar’s highly-awaited film ‘Ram Setu’ is flying high at the box office.  The film, which hit the theatres on October 24, earned Rs 15 crore on its opening day, becoming Akshay’s biggest opener of the year. As the film opened with great numbers, Khiladi Kumar visited Mumbai's Gaiety Galaxy to promote his film and to see the live reaction of the audience. However, Akshay got mobbed by his ardent fans for pictures.

Scores of his fans thronged him to click pictures with the handsome actor. The Raksha Bandhan actor looked dapper in a white shirt and black pants. As he arrived, his fans mobbed him to take pictures with the superstar. He greeted some of them and even obliged their request for selfies. In some viral pictures, Kumar is seen waving and interacting with the crowd. People even chased him till the ticket window of Gaiety Galaxy. The 55-year-old actor also happily posed for the shutterbugs and gave them his candid poses. Meanwhile, directed by Abhishek Sharma, the action-adventure film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead roles. In the movie, Akki played the role of an archaeologist, Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha who investigates the nature of Ram Setu, known in English as Adam's Bridge. Talking about the film, Akshay told Indian Express that “Ram Setu is very proudly rooted in Indian history and culture. On the factual side, the team has relied on deep research to represent what is true and bring out several unknown facts.”
