The movie is rooted in an actual event that unfolded at West Bengal's Raniganj coalfield and takes inspiration from the courageous actions of the late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill, who spearheaded the coal mine rescue mission for Bharat. However, Netizens point out the repeated faces that appear on the poster and troll the Akshay Kumar film poster for it.
