Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: I Would Love To Work In A Marathi Film
Jazbaa actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was present at the music launch of Vikram Phadnis’ Marathi film Hrudayantar last evening. At the do, she revealed that she would love to work in a Marathi film as long as the script excites her
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her acting debut with Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Iruvar (1997) and has a number of regional films to her credit.
The actress attended the music launch of good friend Vikram Phadnis’s directorial debut, Hrudayantar (Marathi), last evening at PVR Juhu looking resplendent in a printed suit.

While interacting with the media, Aishwarya expressed a desire to work in a Marathi film. She said, “I am an actor and it doesn't matter where and by whom is the movie being made. I have never catered to these expected norms and have carved my journey. I would love to work in a Marathi film as long as the script excites me."
When asked if she has watched a Marathi movie recently she said, “I haven’t watched Marathi films recently, but I would love to watch them. Ten years back, Vikram had come to me for a movie but everything has its own time and this film was meant to be too.”
The actress also reminisced how Vikram Phadnis considers her as his sister. “I know Vikram since my modelling days. I remember, once he had come to my house on Raksha Bandhan and asked me to tie him a rakhi. He had also brought a Lord Ganesha idol with him. I am glad he has made his first film in his mother tongue.”

Furthermore, Aishwarya was smitten by trailer of the film and even praised the cast which includes Subodh Bhave and Mukta Barve.
Hrithik Roshan, who attended the trailer launch of the film, will be seen in a cameo in the project.
Meanwhile, the actress has recently signed Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's Fanney Khan which also features Anil Kapoor. However, there is no official confirmation from Aishwarya or Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra yet.
