After Tiger Shroff, Sajid Nadiadwala To Launch Ahan Shetty With The Remake Of Telugu Smash Hit, RX 100

Incidentally, Sajid Nadiadwala’s film Waqt Hamara Hai was supposed to be Suneil Shetty’s launch vehicle in Bollywood in 1993. However, Suniel’s Balwan had released before Sajid’s youth drama (by a few months). While Sajid couldn’t launch Suniel back in the day, he will soon launch his son, Ahan Shetty, in the movies.  And this time the launch vehicle promises to be bigger and flashier.

Papa Shetty’s little boy has manned up and is all set for his big screen debut. After Salman Khan launched Suniel’s daughter, Athiya Shetty in Hero in 2015, there was a strong buzz that he would also take Ahan Shetty under his wings and launch him in the movies. However, a few months back, reports of Ahan making his Bollywood debut with a Sajid Nadiadwala film surfaced. And now, there’s confirmation that Ahan will be making his silver screen debut with Sajid’s remake of the Telugu superhit RX 100.

The makers are looking at a May 2019 release for the film. Speaking to Bombay Times, Sajid revealed that it was the RX 100’s appeal with the younger audience down South, that made him go after it. The Telugu superhit revolves around a young couple and how their relationship takes an unexpected turn when their families discover their fondness for each other.

Congratulating Ahan, a proud Suniel Shetty wrote on Twitter, “Congratulations PHANTOM!!!... A new journey begins today my baby ... No matter how u feel ... Get up...Dress up... Show up...Scream, Cry, but NEVER give up!!!! #AhanShetty #SajidNadiadwala

Ahan’s sister, Athiya Shetty also congratulated her ‘baby brother’ with a message, “Baby brother, I wish you nothing but the best. All the love and success, but most importantly, every bit of happiness, patience and never ending faith. I’ll always be your biggest cheerleader, forever & ever. May you shine so so bright, my Junior. Keep it real! #AhanShetty
