After Kangana Ranaut Claims She Voted For Shiv Sena, BJP MP From Her Constituency Backs Journalist Who Called Her Bluff
This is not the first time Kangana Ranaut’s statements have landed her in controversy. During her recent explosive interview, where she called senior actor Urmila Matondkar a ‘soft porn star’, she also made an accusation and said she was forced to vote for Shiv Sena. The actress said she always supported BJP but voted for Shiv Sena as she was forced to do so due to their ‘alliance’. However, later her claim was busted by a journalist who pointed out a factual error that there was a BJP candidate in Kangana's voting booth. A while back, BJP MP Ashish Shelar tweeted in support of the journalist and called his story true.

BJP MP Tweeted, “As a journalist, he tried to tell the truth in the story told by Kamlesh Sutar about Bandra West. There is nothing wrong with that. He has his right as a medium. There is no need to tell anyone new. I have known Sanmitra Kamlesh for many years as a journalist,” responding to this the journalist said, “Senior BJP leaders @ShelarAshish Their reaction is extremely important. Because Ashish Shelar has been representing the 'same' Bandra West constituency since 2014! Heartfelt thanks Ashishji! This is d most imp comment as it comes from a person who represents 'that' const. Thanks, Ashishji!”

Pointing out the factual error, the journalist had earlier shared the screengrab and Tweeted, “I see some factual error here. @KanganaTeam says she was forced to vote for Shivsena. As per @CEO_Maharashtra data, @KanganaTeam is a voter of Bandra west seat. Ashish Shelar of BJP was Sena-BJP candidate here in 2019. In Loksabha agn Poonam Mahajan of the BJP fought n won.”

“If she says she is talking about 2014, then again BJP-Sena fought together in Loksabha with BJP contesting the seat. in Assembly elections, She had an option of voting for BJP as both the parties fought separately. And Yes they fought 2017 BMC elections separately as well!,” he said in his next tweet.
