Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been making headlines after she was questioned by ED over the Panama paper case. She reportedly left ED's office after 5 hours of questioning. Sources have told NDTV that the probe agency recorded her statement over claims she parked her money in a company based in the British Virgin Islands. The actress appeared before the ED after failing to appear for two summons.

The Bachchan family allegedly transferred lot of money under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme of the RBI (Reserve Bank Of India) in 2004. Sources have said that the actress submitted all the records of her foreign payments for the past 15 years. According to the NDTV report, she had been named Director of an offshore company, Amic Partners set up in the British Virgin Islands in 2004. She left the company in 2009.

On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan lost her cool in parliament. The veteran actress said, 'Apke bure din ayenge, I curse you' when she was asked by the Chair to participate in the discussion on the 'Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (Amendment) Bill', 2021.
