After Aamir Khan-Kartik Tests Positive, FWICE President BN Tiwari Says 'Producers Are Trying To Save Costs' And, 'Not Enough Testing Happening On The Film Sets'
Coronavirus cases are increasing day by day. When it comes to celebrities, today it was revealed that Aamir Khan tested positive for COVID-19. In the past few weeks, many celebrities including Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Bigg Boss 14's Nikki Tamboli, Tara Sutaria, Manoj Bajpayee, TMKOC's Mandar Chandavarkar made a buzz for testing positive for Coronavirus. While few of them have recovered, many are still under home quarantine.

Addressing the growing cases, BN Tiwari, president of FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) said that he feels not enough testing is happening and producers are not being strict. "Not enough testing is happening especially on sets that are far away like in Madh Island and Naigaon. Producers are also trying to save costs which are now resulting in unit members getting quarantined." He then added, "Commercialisation of the COVID-19 test is not fair to the workers who cannot afford to do testing every now and then. I would request the government to make it free at least after that people will not indulge in wrongdoings."

Talking about Aamir Khan, a source to the actor revealed that he is currently quarantined at home. He is following all the protocols and is also doing fine. On the work front, he will be seen opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Laal Singh Chaddha.

A few days ago, Soni Razdan tweeted in support of her fellow actors and demanded the COVID-19 vaccine. She wrote, "Soni Razdan wrote, "So many actors get COVID and are at huge risk when working. I mean we actually can't wear masks. But no one seems to think they need to be able to take the vaccine yet." When a Twitter user replied to her Tweet saying it is not a crucial profession to be carried out daily, Soni Razdan wrote, "It's a profession none the less. People need to work right. Others can do so wearing protection but actors are the only people who cannot! And so..."
