Adivi Sesh’s Major Overseas Rights Sold To Weekend Cinema For A Staggering Price - Know Details
Major, was slated to release on 2 July, unfortunately, due to corona lockdown, the film's release got pushed for a later date.
Adivi Sesh starrer Major, directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka is making buzz on the internet as the latest report suggests that Weekend Cinema has bought overseas rights for a staggering price. In the film, Adivi plays the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan who rescued hostages and lost his life in the valorous mission during the tragic 26/11 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
A couple of months ago the actor had released the trailer which got an overwhelming response across the country setting the bar high on the film. Thus, Major is a hot cake in the business circles and the makers have been getting fancy offers for theatrical and other rights.
As per reports, Popular distribution company Weekend Cinema which brought Indian blockbusters like Kabir Singh, KGF, etc. overseas now in association with Southern Star International that released over 150+ films in Aus/NZ are releasing the movie in all three languages in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. They have bought the overseas rights for a whopping price.
Riding high with the success of consecutive films, versatile actor Adivi Sesh is awaiting the release of his maiden Bollywood venture Major. The makers planned to release Major in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam, a new release date will be announced when things are back to normal. The film also stars Saiee Manjrekar, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murli Sharma. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment and A+S movies.
