Aditya Chopra Opens Up About Vaani Kapoor In Blog Post
The makers of Befikre are leaving no stone unturned to promote the film. Director Aditya Chopra has penned down his third blog post ‘I’m French, My parents are Indian’ wherein he opened up about the surprise casting of Vaani Kapoor.

The casting came as a surprise because Aditya was placing the burden of a big budget project on the shoulders of an actress who was just one film old. Vaani had debuted with Yash Raj's Shuddh Desi Romance and had done a Southern film in between. In Befikre, she plays Shyra, an outgoing Parisian of Indian origin.

Yesterday Aditya had released his second blog titled ‘Ranveer was in Befikre even before I was’ and it revealed a lot about Aditya Chopra as a director. Aditya said that he felt exposed and scared when he decided to direct Befikre without Shah Rukh Khan but later realised that both Ranveer and Shah Rukh better his work and cover the flaws (OMG: Aditya Chopra Compares Ranveer Singh And Shah Rukh Khan In Second Blog Post, Dec 6)

Previously, Aditya Chopra broke his silence with a blog post titled ‘My Second First Film’. Written by Adi Chopra, it was posted by Ranveer Singh on his Twitter account (Aditya Chopra Speaks Up For The FIRST Time After 21 Years!, Dec 5).

Aditya was a part of the ‘making’ videos of his debut film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. After which he completely went in to a shell and did not make any appearances to promote neither Mohabbatein nor Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Befikre releases on December 9. Then we will all come to know whether the risky casting of Vaani Kapoor paid off for Aditya Chopra.
