Adman Alyque Padamsee Passes Away At 90
After prolonged illness, the man who changed the face of the Ad world in India, Alyque Padamsee took his last breath this morning
Ad Man and
renowned theatre personality, Alyque Padamsee passed away this morning. He was
90. According to a report in The Quint, Padamsee was in bad health and was
ailing since quite some time.
Padamsee was
best known for his role as Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1982 drama “Gandhi” and for
his creative ads like Liril. He received Padma Shri in 2000. He was named "Advertising Man
of the Century" by The Advertising Club in Mumbai.
