Ace Fashion Designer Sabyasachi Issues Apology After Getting Trolled For Calling Overdressed Women "Wounded"
When Bollywood’s ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee said, “overdressed woman is wounded” he was trolled for his “sexiest” comment. So much so, that he later issued an apology for his statement
Bollywood’s ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee is once again
at the receiving end. The designer, who has designed Deepika Padukone and
Ranveer Singh’s wedding attires, landed up in a controversy, when he posted a
note saying, “overdressed, caked with make-up and armoured with jewellery"
- in all probability is "wounded”. His post also read, “such women”,
"shine for the world" but are in reality, "bleeding
inside". “She needs healing, and nothing else,” he said.
Within no time, his post went viral and he received backlash for the same. The designer was trolled and netizens called his post "misogynistic", "ignorant" and "sexist." Post getting trolled, he issued an apology for saying the same. In his apology letter, Sabyasachi wrote, “I acknowledge the feedback we have received regarding the statements made in our recent Instagram presentation. We hear you and although it was intended as a message of love and empathy and a call to look beyond exterior appearances, it wasn't articulated correctly. I understand that it does not convey the message appropriately at all and for that, I would like to accept blame and offer an unconditional apology. Regards, Sabyasachi. "
