Having carved his own path professionally, it seems like he is gearing up to follow his parents, veteran actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, footsteps and enter politics.

Yes, you read that right! According to a report by the Free Press Journal, Abhishek might join politics. Speaking of his parents’ political journey, Amitabh Bachchan had joined Rahul Gandhi in 1984, after he took a break from acting. Despite winning the 8th Lok Sabha election with over 68 percent votes in his favour, his political career was short-lived. He resigned in July 1987 after allegations were levelled against him about his involvement in the Bofors scandal. On the other hand, Jaya Bachchan has had a fruitful political career.

On the work front, Abhishek has a few projects in his pipeline including The Big Bull, based on another financial scam, Ghoomer and SSS7, which is produced by him as well. He also has a Remo D’Souza directorial, co-starring Nora Fatehi, and a Shoojit Sircar directorial.
