Abhishek Bachchan Puts A Troll In His Place After A Naysayer Called Him A 'Nepokid'; Breathe Actor Says: 'I’m 44, Hardly A Kid'
A while back, Producers Guild Of India released a statement on how the Indian film industry and some members of the industry have been maligned and have been targeted after the tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Sharing the long statement, Abhishek Bachchan retweeted the tweet, standing in solidarity towards the industry. However, a naysayer didn't seem to be happy with the tweet and support from Abhishek who is the son of Amitabh Bachchan. He simply called AB a 'nepokid' and said that no one is going to watch his films. Abhishek didn't ignore the tweet and instead of taking it in his stride, he chose to give a befitting reply, with a tinge of sarcasm in it which then extended to a Twitter spat.

After junior Bachchan shared his tweet, a troll commented, " Noones gonna watch your films nepokid. Replying to the user, the 44-years-old actor wrote, "Ok. but bro “nepokid”???? I’m 44 hardly a kid. Think before you type.... PLEASE!!!" The user then commented, "You’re ABs baby, innit Baby Suit yourself, Nepo “uncle” ffs" In his response, Abhi wrote, "Speak to your elders with some respect then!!! Ab uncle bana diya to lihaaz bhi karo. And a polite reminder, you too are somebody’s baby. In case you didn’t know. Take care, bye."

Talking about the statement, a part of it read, "The last few months have seen relentless attacks on the reputation of the Indian film industry across all media. The tragic death of a promising young star had been used by some as a tool to defame and slander the film industry and its members. A picture has been painted of the industry as a terrible place for outsiders to aspire to; a place that treats those who dare to enter it with contempt and derision; a murky den of substance abuse and criminality. This narrative is salacious enough for the media to exploit to great effect in order to boost its ratings, readership and page views. But it is not the truth."
