Abhishek Bachchan Opens Up About Watching Run With Sridevi, Says, 'Was Excited Sitting Next To Her'
Abhishek Bachchan recently completed 2 decades in Bollywood and was grateful to his fans and film fraternity for giving him so much love and warmth for his amazing movies like Guru, Dhoom series, Bunty Aur Babli, Manmarziyaan and many more to his kitty.  But recently junior Bachchan went vocal and revealed that late Sridevi showed him the Tamil version of Run which had R. Madhavan in the main lead. He even confessed that he was a huge fan of Sridevi.

Manmarziyaan actor got nostalgic while speaking about the same to Zoom TV Digital. He went back in time and opened about few scenes from his 2004 movie Run which did not fare well at Box-Office but the audience loved his action avatar. In the movie, there was a scene where Abhishek Bachchan aka Siddharth meets his love Bhumika Chalwa aka Jhanvi inside a mall where goons arrive and try to attack Abhishek. But Abhishek Bachchan pulls the shutter of the exit door and starts fighting with them. This scene is much relatable to his dad’s iconic scene from the movie Deewar and the most loved dialogue ‘Tum Log Mujhe Dhoondh Rahe Ho Aur Main Tumhara Yahaan Intezaar Kar Raha Hoon".

Well, Abhishek Bachchan was asked about the scene he gave a prompt reply and called it “good fun."  He even added, “That's the reason I did the film. I remember Boney Kapoor and Sridevi Ji produced the film. And Sridevi Ji, of whom I am a huge fan, showed me the Tamil film (Run, 2002), which Maddy (R Madhavan) had acted in and I was sitting in the preview theatre called Ketnav and I was so excited that I was sitting next to her. And I was like, "Okay, this movie is fine..." and then suddenly that scene happens and I said, "Okay, I am doing this film." In my own personal way, that was my ode to my father in Deewar.

On the professional front, Abhishek will be seen in Ludo, The Big Bull which will release on the OTT platform. (ALSO READ: Abhishek Bachchan On His Movies, 'I Find Flaws Everywhere'; Reveals He's Not The Kind Of Person Who Says 'Good Job')
