Aamir's Pact With Disney Utv To Promote Nephew Imran
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Trust Aamir to stand by Imran in his tough days
Let's tell you how Aamir Khan got into Disney UTV's Dangal.
The Ghajini star told the production house that he would do the film if and only if they backed his darling nephew's film Katti Batti.
Mamujaan is well aware that Imran has been having a low phase. While his Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu didn't see as many footfalls as expected, the actor was heavily banking on Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola and Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara, which unfortunately didn't help him in making headway. Imran returned to his fail-safe genre of rom-com with Gori Tere Pyaar Mein but that too didn't live up to the expectations.
So, Aamir has decided to take the matter in his own hands and has made this deal with Disney UTV.
When a big studio backs a film, a grand release, a wider film distribution and an effective marketing strategy are guaranteed. And who better than Aamir to know the importance of these things, especially the power of a strong marketing strategy, right?
You can bet the shirt off your back that it works in Disney UTV’s favour too when a superstar star like Aamir agrees to do a big film for them.
Aamir and Disney UTV have had an enviable association. They distributed Rang De Basanti, which went on to become a cult film. The satire Peepli Live was produced by Aamir Khan and distributed by Disney UTV, and of course theres the adult comedy Delhi Belly too.
Aamirs most recent success PK, that earned nearly Rs 650 crore at the box-office, was also distributed by UTV. So, you see he has been very profitable to them.
Thanks to Aamirs deal, well soon get to see both uncle and nephew in the theatres soon.
