Aamir Khan's Dangal Enjoys Blockbuster Weekend In China, Beats PK To Become Second Highest Earning Indian Film Globally
Aamir Khan has beaten his own record once again. Dangal has finally taken over the global box-office collections of PK, thanks to its earnings in China
Aamir Khan is a
beloved cinema icon in China and Dangal’s recent release in the country proved
that his box-office pull in our neighbouring country is phenomenal.
Dangal
earned Rs 72.68 crore in China over its opening weekend, taking its global
lifetime collection to Rs 817 crore. With that Dangal has become the second
highest earning Indian film.
The top spot has
been claimed by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and before this Aamir Khan’s 2014
release PK had occupied the second slot.

If we recall,
Aamir has broken his own records quite a few times in the past. His 3 Idiots
(2009) broke the record set by Ghajini (2008). Later, the same record was
broken by Dhoom:3 (2013), which was eventually broken by PK. The record set by
PK stood the test of time, until Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (2017) and
surpassed the record.
But with Dangal
recently releasing in China, the film finally managed to overtake PK's global
box-office figures.

PK stood still at
Rs 792 crore and now Dangal has overtaken it, thanks to its success in China.
Surpassing all is
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion which currently stands at Rs 1,065 Crore and it is
still going strong.
