For the unversed, Aamir’s ambitious project 'Laal Singh Chaddha' miserably failed at the box office. The film was said to be the lowest-rated film by Aamir Khan and its failure reportedly hit the actor very hard. Following its release, the 50-year-old announced taking a break from acting to focus on his family and released a statement informing the same.
He said, “When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that, that nothing else happens in my life, which is why I decided to take a break. I was supposed to do a film called 'Champions' after 'Laal Singh….' It's a wonderful script, a beautiful story. It's a very heartwarming and lovely film, but I want to take a break. I want to be with my family, my mom, and my kids.”
Aamir has been making several public appearances; he was recently seen at Arpita Khan's star-studded Eid bash where he bonded with his old friend Salman Khan. Before this, he attended the inauguration of the National Conclave on Mann Ki Baat in Delhi last month.
