The actress delighted fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes snapshot of the pair on set on Monday, March 18. Mr Perfectionist, known for his Christmas box office dominance, is gearing up to reclaim the festive season with the release of Sitaare Zameen Par in December 2024. In the candid photo surfaced online, Genelia exuded casual charm in a white top paired with distressed jeans, while the 59-year-old sported a relaxed look in a black T-shirt and jeans. The image captured a moment of shared laughter between the two stars, hinting at their on-set camaraderie. Speaking at a TV9 conclave, Aamir officially confirmed that Sitaare Zameen Par is slated for a Christmas release. Expressing his excitement for the project, he described it as an entertaining film with a captivating storyline that has already commenced filming.
As per earlier reports from Pinkvilla, Aamir has dedicated significant time to pre-production for Sitaare Zameen Par and is prepared for an intensive shooting schedule spanning 70 to 80 working days. This upcoming release marks Aamir's return to the Christmas slot after an eight-year hiatus since his blockbuster hit Dangal in 2016.
Following a break post the disappointment of Laal Singh Chaddha, Sitaare Zameen Par signifies Aamir's much-anticipated comeback to the big screen. Notably, this project also marks the first on-screen collaboration between Genelia and Aamir, adding to the anticipation surrounding their on-screen pairing.
