Aamir Khan who's known for being perfect thinks that he has committed a wrong this time. Now this isn't something he's done but rather something that he failed to do!!
Muslim outfits had protested against Kamal Haasan's film Vishwaroopam in 2013. According to them the movie had degraded their community to an extreme low and the decision to protest was taken after some Muslim outfits saw a preview of the film on Jan 21.
Aamir thinks that he and the entire film industry should have been with Kamal in his moment of crisis. Today at FICCI frames which was held in Rennaissance Hotel (Powai, Mumbai) both were on the panel to discuss: Challenges posed by creation of new media platforms, content diversification, new business and revenue models.
Aamir used the opportunity and admitted: "Mr Haasan, I apologise for not being there for you during the protests against your film."
Kamal Haasan humbly accepted the apology and said, "Aamir is my favourte actor."
Talking further, Aamir also spoke on the issue of censorship. He said, "Our job is to entertain, but does it stop there?"
He said he felt that the industry should introspect about the content they are creating, to influence minds and infuse in young India with qualities that we can all be proud of.
The Ghajini actor concluded by saying that he was against ban of any kind on content and was happy that the I&B Minister (Rajyavardhan Rathore) had clarified that his ministry does not have any list of words that should or should not be used.
