Aamir In Talks For Remake Of Chinese Films

Aamir Khan recently made his presence felt in China during the premiere of his 2014 blockbuster PK. The film, which hit Chinese theatres last Friday, has got an overwhelming response.

During the trip, the actor even got the opportunity to interact with leading Chinese filmmakers.

Turns out, Aamir is quite impressed with some of their films and is now considering making remakes of certain Chinese movies in India. The Dhoom 3 actor told SpotboyE.com, “I had a discussion with filmmakers there about making remakes of Chinese films for India. I’m sure there will be wonderful Chinese films which we can buy the rights of and remake in India.”

Not just that, many Chinese filmmakers have shown interest in the script of Aamirs next project, Dangal, in which he plays a wrestler. He revealed, They felt the story is very relevant in China as well. Dangal deals with girl empowerment and China has the problem of girl child and female foeticide too. So I think the first thing we should do is exchange scripts and attempt remakes.
