At the recently announced 67th National Film Awards, Manoj Bajpayee bagged the Best Actor award for Bhonsle, sharing the award with Dhanush for his film Asuran. The actor speaks exclusively to SpotboyE on this occasion.
Manoj Bajpayee won his third National award today as he was adjudged the Best Actor at the 67th National Film Awards, for his stint as Ganpath Bhonsle in the last year released Bhonsle. The film was released on SonyLiv. The actor shares the award with Dhanush, who also won the Best Actor award for his Tamil film Asuran,
Reacting to his win, Manoj says that he can’t help but feel thankful for all the love and acceptance. “I am very happy and thankful to everyone who believed in this film, including my director Devashish Makhija, my co-actors Santosh Juvekar and Ipshita Chakraborty. I want to thank my producers all of who have put a little bit of their money into the film and supported it. Deep down I am just thankful.”
This is Manoj’s third National Award win. His first win came in for the 1998 film Satya, for which he received the National Award for Best Supporting Actor. He received a Special Jury Award for his role as Rashid in the 2003 film Pinjar co-starring Urmila Matondkar. This award for Bhonsle marks his first win in the Best Actor category.
