‘Kuch Toh Journalism Ki Izzat Rakho, Ki Sab Bech Diya?’ Kangana Ranaut Calls Out Media Publication For Not Posting Her Entire Interview
Kangana Ranaut took to her official social media handle to lash out at a media publication for editing her interview, adding music, and pasting snippets of her answers ‘out of context’
Kangana Ranaut’s much-awaited film Emergency is all set to grace the big screens after too many delays. The film is based on the 21-month Emergency period India faced from 1975 to 1977 when the then-Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi declared a state of emergency across the country by citing internal and external threats to the country. Over the past few days, the movie has found itself in controversy due to the actress-turned-politician’s controversial statements about the Punjabi and Sikh communities. Known for her blunt attitude, she recently called out a media publication for posting only ‘edited’ clips from her 2-hour-long interview.
Taking to her official social media handle, Kangana on Friday lashed out at Lallantop for not publishing her entire interview, despite her team’s repeated requests. Commenting on a tweet, giving a glimpse of her interview, she questioned them about it. She went on to criticise them for their choice of music in the video snippet and pasting snippets of her answers ‘out of context’. The actress was a guest on the channel’s segment “Lallantop Baithaki.” ALSO READ: Kangana Ranaut Plans To Invite Gandhi Family To Emergency’s Screening? Reacting to the 4:55 minute clip, the 38-year-old actress tweeted, “Arrey Lallan ji aur kitna edit karoge, aapke masters abhi bhi khush nahi hue aapse? Ek baar sara interview daalo, uncut, darte kyu ho?” In a follow-up tweet, she wrote, “Choice of music and small shots chopped from all over 2 hours chat and pasted out of context, wah!! Itna insecure feel ho raha hai ki it’s been 4 days my team is asking for whole interview but you still can’t put entire interview? aapne bulaya hum aa gaye lekin kuch toh journalism ki izzat rakho, ki sab bech diya?” ALSO READ: Will Fight For It: Kangana Ranaut REVEALS Her Film Emergency Not Yet Given CBFC Certification Amid Ban Call

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut was last seen in Tejas. The movie failed to impress the audience as well as the critics and it tanked at the box office. She will be next seen in Emergency. Not only is the movie her first solo directorial, but she will also be essaying the role of India’s late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is all set to be released on September 6, 2024. Apart from that, she also has a few other projects in her pipeline.
