Shah Rukh Khan at an event joked about how John Abraham would have done the whole ‘Pathaan’ in just shorts
On Monday, the first press conference of ‘Pathaan’ was held in Mumbai and it was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and director Sidharth Anand. Amongst all the candid moments, SRK and John’s bromance stole the show. King Khan left everyone in awe as he kissed John on the cheeks. Not just that, Shah Rukh also showered heaps of praise on Abraham’s performance in the film saying he is the backbone of ‘Pathaan.’
Addressing the media, the Raees actor also joked about how John would have done the whole film in just shorts. Shah Rukh said, “If there is someone who is the backbone of Pathaan, jiske wajah se nahi complete ho sakti thi movie, is Jim as Pathaan. John ko picture mein lo, kharcha kam hota h, nikar mein poori movie nikal jaati hai.” The 57-year-old actor also spoke about John performing high-octane action stunts in the movie and revealed that he was very careful about safety as the bike scene was rehearsed four to five times.
“When a bad guy is to be played, normally uski shakale bigad dete hai. But to be rightly bad and just to take a cynical viewpoint of the world, the directors, and writers have justified the character but to play with the strength, John has proved it. Mujhe itna action nahi aata hai, but mein koshish karta hu. John is very gentle in motorcycle scenes and takes care about the safety. I gained deep respect for him”, SRK added. On the other hand, John too was all praise of Shah Rukh and called him the biggest action hero of all time. He even mentioned that SRK is an emotion for him and that he has been a huge influence on his life and career.
On a related note, ‘Pathaan’ directed by Sidharth Anand has been produced by Yash Raj Films and hit the theatres on 25 January 2023.
