One Song, Plethora Of Stars: From John Jaani Janardhan to Deewangi Deewangi

Bollywood is flooded with special songs. Most of them feature the film’s lead. But there are a handful of tracks that are nothing arenothing shot of multi-starrers.

John Jaani Janardan (Naseeb, 1981)


Amitabh Bachchan was the leading man of the 1970s-80s. Despite being the superstar then, he invited all the other superstars who ruled before him for a medley song in his 1981 film Naseeb. From Raj Kapoor to Shammi Kapoor and from Rajesh Khanna to Dharmendra, this song feature most of the stars of that generation under one roof. Check it out:

Deewangi Deewangi (Om Shanti Om, 2007)


Shah Rukh Khan played the reigning superstar of the era in the 2007 film Om Shanti Om. And as film parties are perceived, there was a song which featured all stars ranging from Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt to Priyanka Chopra to Shilpa Shetty. Not just the newer generation, but even SRK invited older stars like Dharmendra, Jeetendra and Mithun Chakraborty in it. One of the most energetic songs of that year. Check it out:

Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, 2008)


Once again Shah Rukh Khan came up with a medley of rehashed songs with him dancing to the tunes of varied old songs. Plus, it had actresses ranging from Bipasha Basu to Preity Zinta and from Kajol To Lara Dutta all coming in to match steps with SRK. It's the sheer beauty of the composition which combines all the yesteryear melodies and not once do you feel like you are not listening to a new track but with a flavour of the old songs.
