Priyanka Chopra’s smooch in the latest episode of Quantico was definitely a sensation. It was something that hit the Indian viewers in an unexpected manner. But judging by past trends that we have witnessed, this could only be labelled as ‘cool’ when the crew involved in the film making process is from foreign shores. Here are some more Indian beauties who disrobed for foreign cameras
ANU AGGARWAL
Four years after the mega success of Aashiqui, Anu Aggarwal appeared in a short film that was directed by one of the doyens of parallel cinema – Mani Kaul. The short film titled, The Could Door, was part of Erotic Tales series that was commissioned by a German production house. The person in front of whom Anu shed her clothes was Murad Ali, brother of director Shaad Ali.

Paoli Dam is a mainstream actress from Bengal and made a steamy ‘bindass’ debut in Bollywood with Hate Story. The erotic revenge saga apart from making good money at the box office also spawned sequels (last heard the makers were planning for the fourth installment). But it was Mushrooms aka Chatrak which made her go the whole hog. It was an Indo-French co production with a Sinhalese as the captain of the ship. When I say ‘the whole hog’, believe me! A trivia that relates to the film is the fact that Google search won’t result in her nude pictures. We wonder.
RADHIKA APTE
Radhika Apte has followed an unconventional course in her short film career and the actress with beauty and brains has reaped benefits too. Her role in Hunterrr was something most actresses would have felt uncomfortable saying yes to. Parched was a film for which Ajay Devgn shook hands with a foreign crew that primarily aimed international markets and international film festivals. The steamy scene between Adil Hussain and Radhika Apte would have surely made the India censor board see red.

What people saw in Mera Naam Joker was just a glimpse for things to come. Simi Garewal created a flutter in 1972 when she appeared completely nude in Siddhartha based on Hermann Hesse’s world famous book. While the sequence in Mera Naam Joker had Rishi Kapoor in the frame, Siddhartha had Rishi’s uncle Shashi Kapoor.

Deepti Bhatnagar, a model turned actress attracted the spotlight when she was signed opposite Suniel Shetty for Ram Shastra. And this was years ago. The movie tanked at the box office and so did her career. But when the opportunity came along to act in a foreign shore film, cynics raised their eyebrows. Deepti was paired with Don Wilson in the film and the shower scene is still remembered by all. For those who are into trivia, this 1998 film also had Madhavan in a small role.

Tannishtha Chatterjee is a well known name in the Indie circuit. Meaningful and real cinema adorns her CV. Though there was no frontal nudity in her case but her last year release Unindian was too hot to handle for the Indian censor board who chopped the sequences in the very first screening.

Talking about a fail, the images never made it into the pages of the pulp magazine.
