Asha Ji became the first Indian singer to be nominated for the prestigious Grammy award in 1997. She was nominated for her album Legacy that included 12 beautiful classical numbers in her melodious voice. She was also nominated in 2005 for the second time for her collaboration with Kronos Quartet titled You’ve Stolen My Heart from RD Burman’s Bollywood.
