Uri Teaser: Vicky Kaushal Nails It As An Army Officer But Where Is Yami Gautam?

The makers of Uri have released the first teaser of the film. Starring Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, the film is based on true events of the surgical strikes which India's armed forces carried out in 2016. The film's trailer was released on social media a little while ago, and it's already catching people's attention.

Vicky, who plays an army officer in the film, seems to have done a brilliant job with his expressions. He took to social media to share the teaser. He wrote, "A defining moment in India’s military history. A moment that paved a path to a new, stronger India. Here’s presenting, #URITeaser : http://bit.ly/URIOfficialTeaser …

Yami Gautam too shared the trailer with a similar caption. But what we can't fathom is why is she not visible at all in the 1 minute 17 seconds teaser? Check out the teaser right here:

Vicky spoke to Bombay Times this morning about his experience of playing an army man and also reliving the surgical strikes incident from close quarters. “Uri was recently wrapped up. The time I spent shooting it has been the most grilling time of my life. I spent five months only training for the part and meeting army officers. The shooting was damn difficult. Action scenes were tough because it’s all supposed to be real. It’s the role of a commando and we can’t do anything that looks out of place. We have to show factual details. Uri is the story of everything that went on behind the news. It was a huge responsibility and an ambitious project for my producers and me,” said Vicky to the leading daily. Uri also stars Paresh Rawal. Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is set to hit theatres on January 11, 2019.
