So, the much awaited teaser trailer of the talented duo Sushant Singh Rajput and Dibakar Banerjee’s Detective Byomkesh Bakshy is out. Rajput, who is known to be extremely shy, has joined Twitter as a professional obligation and released the first trailer of his forthcoming film for his fans.
The first look of the film creates a mystery around the handsome Bengali detective Byomkesh Bakshy, who wore dhoti with European shoes.
A suspense thriller based on the character created by Saradindu Bandopadhyay, the trailer builds up mystery around the film that is set in Calcutta in 1943, with the shadow of World War II looming large over it. With a vintage setting, the trailer scores high on impact - a desi character with a Sherlock Holmes kind of grip as a newsreader's voice keeps playing in the backdrop.
A TV series based on Satyanveshi Byomkesh Bakshy with Rajit Kapoor has already been very popular among the audience. The series is remembered for the mystery woven with simplicity and sincerity of Rajit Kapoor's performance.
