The Sky Is Pink Box-Office Prediction: Priyanka Chopra And Farhan Akhtar’s Family Drama Is Likely To Collect THIS Much On Day 1

Priyanka Chopra is making his come back to Hindi cinema after 3.5 odd years. The actress is set to make her fans swoon with Shonali Bose’s directorial The Sky Is Pink. Co-starring Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf, the film will open at screens, tomorrow. While the makers hosted a screening last night, celebs and critic reviews have been pouring in. So much so that film has started receiving wide appreciation even before its release.

Marking a solo release on October 11, The Sky Is Pink is based on a real-life story of 13-year-old girl Aisha Chaudhary. To know the day 1 box-office prediction of The Sky Is Pink we got in touch with Film Business and Trade Analyst Girish Johar. He told us, “The Sky Is Pink is a very up market and niche film. Whatever we have seen from the trailer, it’s looking very exciting. It is targeting a limited set of audience. It’s not entertaining mass kind of a film. It has human touch with human drama. Whatever the early review are coming in it seems to an emotional joyride. It’s going to be a tearjerker with lot of human touch.

Further predicting the collection on its first day, he said, “Since it’s going to be a tight up market, tight multiplex release, it should draw anywhere around Rs 3-4 crore on its day 1.”

Meanwhile, SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film with 4.5 stars and wrote in his review, “Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar are two of the most distinguished actors that Indian cinema is gifted with. Surprisingly, we have praised a lot many other actors more than them in the volumes of pages we have written. Journos, are you listening? Let's admit that today. Shonali Bose, how well you imagined Priyanka as a mother when you wrote this story, which so evidently reflects the pain you've experienced and the brave fight you've continued in going on with your life.”
