The film has released in over 1650 screens in India and 275 screens
overseas.
While the film has got a mixed response from critics and masses, SpotboyE.com
Editor, Vickey Lalwani, in his review, posed a few questions to the director of
the film.

Calling out to Luv Ranjan,
he asked, “So, a man should marry only if and when he wants sex. Or rather,
marriage means sex. Ugh? Since when? Can't sex be had with the girlfriend in
today's times as and when both the lovers are willing? Even if I give Luv the
benefit of doubt that people in relationships wait until marriage for sex to
happen, Luv next propagates: Why marry a girl if you have a male friend who is
willing to get laid by you? Why is the girl who declares that she is the
villain at the interval- which in fact sets an open war, not shown that what is
villainous about her?”
Let’s see how the film fares over the weekend. It has no other competitor till March 2, which is when Anushka Sharma’s horror drama, Pari, hits theatres.
