Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan VS Bhoot’s Box-Office Prediction: Vicky Kaushal Or Ayushmann Khurrana – Who Will Triumph?
Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal have won National Award for Andhadhun and URI: The surgical strike respectively. Just like they shared the Best Actor award, the two will now be sharing the release date as they both will be clashing at the box-office with Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship. Whenever a clash happens, someone’s revenue gets affected and on that note, here we are to tell you how much the films will probably mint on the first day at the box-office. We got in touch with the trade expert Girish Johar and here’s his prediction.

According to Johar, both Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship are tracking well at the box-office. Starting with Bhoot, he says that we are going to see Vicky Kaushal after URI which was released a year ago and this time he has taken up the horror genre which is one of the top genres. Earlier, Ajay Devgn did an original movie Bhoot and it did well at the box office, so similarly, the trade expert is also expecting a very good start for Vicky's film. He also said that the trailer looked spooky and intriguing and since it is coming from Dharma, everyone is pretty much excited. Bhoot can mint around Rs. 4-5 crore on day 1. He also mentioned that if the word of mouth is good, the numbers will change accordingly.

"It is a very youthful and urban kind of a film, plus it would be a restricted holiday due to Mahashivratri, the film will start on a good note by bringing in Rs. 4-5 crores on its opening day. Also, if you are wondering Dharma’s Ghost Stories will affect Vicky starrer, then it will not. Both have a different audience and Bhoot will fare well at the box-office," he says.

While talking about SMZS, the Trade analyst is looking for another winner from Mr Khurrana after Bala. "This would be his 8th film to emerge as a winner and yet again, he has touched upon a taboo subject which is homosexuality and again taking comical and family route to address the subject. Since it is a taboo subject in India, the makers have very smartly set the tone of the film and the beauty of it is that they have taken it in a comical way," he says. Coming from Ayushmann, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao, all the arrows are pointing upwards and he is expecting a very good start at the box-office. He predicts the film will collect Rs. 8-9 crore on its opening day.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan also stars Jitendra Kumar, Maanvi Gagroo in the lead roles while Bhoot stars Bhumi Pednekar. Which one will you pick this weekend?
